1. Subscription Plans
PDFRise offers the following subscription tiers:
- Free Plan: 50 credits per month, no billing
- Paid Plans: Monthly subscription with varying credit limits
- Enterprise Plans: Custom pricing and terms
All paid plans are billed monthly in advance on a recurring basis.
2. Cancellation Policy
2.1 How to Cancel
You can cancel your subscription at any time through:
- Account Dashboard: Log in to your account and navigate to Settings → Billing → Cancel Subscription
- Email Request: Send a cancellation request to support@pdfrise.com with your account email
2.2 Cancellation Effective Date
- Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period
- You will retain access to your paid features until the end of the billing cycle
- No prorated refunds will be issued for the remaining days in your billing period
2.3 After Cancellation
- Your account will automatically downgrade to the Free plan
- Unused credits from your paid plan will expire
- You will not be charged again unless you reactivate your subscription
- Your account data will be retained for 90 days after cancellation
3. Refund Policy
3.1 General Refund Policy
Important: Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree that you will not receive a refund for any partial month of service.
3.2 Eligible Refund Scenarios
We may issue refunds at our sole discretion in the following exceptional circumstances:
Service Outages
- If the Service experiences downtime exceeding 24 consecutive hours
- Refund will be prorated based on the actual downtime
- Scheduled maintenance does not qualify for refunds
Billing Errors
- Duplicate charges due to system errors
- Charges after subscription cancellation (if not within the paid period)
- Incorrect plan charges
Fraudulent Charges
- Unauthorized charges on your account
- Account compromise resulting in unwanted subscriptions
3.3 Non-Refundable Items
The following are explicitly non-refundable:
- Unused credits upon account cancellation
- Partial months of subscription
- Overage charges for API usage
- Add-on purchases (additional credits, premium features)
- Charges due to user error or misunderstanding of service features
4. Requesting a Refund
4.1 How to Request
To request a refund, please follow these steps:
- Email us at support@pdfrise.com within 7 days of the charge
- Include your account email address
- Provide the transaction ID or invoice number
- Clearly explain the reason for the refund request
- Provide any supporting documentation (screenshots, error logs, etc.)
4.2 Review Process
- We will review your request within 7 business days
- You will receive an email notification of our decision
- If approved, refunds will be processed within 10 business days
- Refunds will be issued to the original payment method
4.3 Refund Method
All refunds are processed through Razorpay, our payment processor:
- Credit/Debit Card: 5-10 business days to reflect in your account
- UPI/Net Banking: 3-7 business days
- Wallet: Instant to 24 hours
5. Credit Policy
5.1 Credit Expiry
- Free Plan Credits: Reset monthly (use it or lose it)
- Paid Plan Credits: Never expire while your subscription is active
- Additional Credits: Never expire while your account is active
- Upon Cancellation: All unused credits expire immediately when you cancel or downgrade to Free plan
5.2 Credit Refunds
No Refunds for Credits: Unused credits are non-refundable. We recommend canceling your subscription near the end of your billing cycle to maximize credit usage.
6. Overage Charges
6.1 How Overages Work
If you exceed your plan's credit limit:
- Overage charges are billed at the end of the month
- You will receive email notifications when you reach 80% and 100% of your credit limit
- Overage rates are displayed in your account dashboard
6.2 Overage Refunds
- Overage charges are non-refundable
- You can set usage alerts to avoid unexpected charges
- You can upgrade to a higher plan to avoid overage fees
7. Failed Payments
7.1 Payment Failures
If a payment fails:
- We will attempt to charge your payment method up to 3 times over 7 days
- You will receive email notifications for each failed attempt
- After the final failed attempt, your subscription will be downgraded to the Free plan
- You will need to update your payment method and manually reactivate your subscription
7.2 Reactivation
- Update your payment method in your account dashboard
- Reactivate your subscription to resume paid features
- Credits from the previous billing period are not recoverable
8. Account Deletion
8.1 Permanent Deletion
If you wish to permanently delete your account:
- Cancel your subscription first (if applicable)
- Email us at support@pdfrise.com to request account deletion
- Your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
- This action is irreversible
8.2 Outstanding Charges
- You must pay any outstanding charges before account deletion
- Unpaid charges will be pursued through legal means if necessary
9. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Cancellation and Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. We will notify you of significant changes via email.
Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
10. Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of India and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
